In April, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) signed legislation that replaces the state’s comprehensive sex education law, which had required medically accurate instruction on contraception and abstinence. The new law requires that any sex education offered emphasize abstinence before marriage and the socioeconomic benefits of marriage, but does not require information on contraception.
